Academic Advisor

As an academic advisor for the Honors College, Mrs. Flynn is responsible for assisting students with course selection, requirements for selected areas of concentration, and post-college plans. Mrs. Flynn is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. She received her B.A. in Psychology (with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies) and M.Ed. in School Counseling from Auburn University. As an undergraduate, she was a tutor at Study Partners, Research Assistant for the Psychology Department, and mentor in the Young Women Leadership Program. As a graduate student, she went on to be the Graduate Assistant for the Young Women Leadership Program. She was awarded the Chi Sigma Iota School Counseling Student of the Year at Auburn University. She earned credentials as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Mrs. Flynn served as a school counselor for several years before returning to Auburn. She was awarded the ALSCA Asa Sparks New Counselor of the Year in 2016. She finds joy in helping others pursue their academic and personal goals.
