Greetings to the Honors at Auburn Community!

I am excited to be here, and I am delighted to welcome both new and returning students to campus for the fall semester.

I wish you a successful semester, but even more, I wish you a time of invigorating challenge and educational adventure as you explore new ideas, hone developing skills, and sharpen each others' minds through conversation.

As a newcomer to this beautiful campus and vibrant college, I look forward to meeting you and learning how Honors Auburn can support you as your work towards your goals, even if (especially if!) you don’t yet know where you are headed after graduation.

Need Some Help? Ask an Honors Student!

Honors College Peer Academic Coaches are dedicated to helping their peers gain the knowledge they need to succeed in the Honors College through academic coaching and mentorship. Academic Coaches help honors students develop the skills to approach specific subject areas and courses, foster relationships between newer and more experienced students, respond to any Honors-related questions students might have, and guide students to helpful academic resources when needed.

Did you know you can receive Honors credit in your non-Honors classes by creating a course contract? Learn the ins and outs of this course option by attending one of our two available workshops.

It's the first week of the month so it's time for another Cup at Cater! Honors students stop by Cater Hall and fill up on some free coffee and breakfast goodies. Let's kick off September with a little caffination!

Getting an internship or CO-OP gives you a chance to gain some great experience in your chosen field, but how do you go about finding these opportunities? Hear from students who have participated in internships and CO-OPs about their experiences in finding, securing, and working in one of these areas.

New Honors students, don't forget to RSVP for your Induction Ceremony. This ceremony is the formal induction into the Honors College, where you will receive your Honors College pin. Much like the medal bestowed at graduation, this pin signifies membership within the Honors College.

Join Congress on Samford Lawn for this month's Samford Session. The theme is football and coloring.

Congress General Meeting

It's the first General Meeting of the year! During this meeting there will be lots of information about what to expect from each of the Congress branches in the upcoming semester. This is also a great place to inquire about membership!

Auburn Global Medical Brigades

Are you interested in traveling and medical volunteering? Join Auburn Global Medical Brigades at the end of the Fall 2024 semester in Panama! You will have the opportunity to serve the local population by distributing medications, engaging in educational initiatives, and supporting triage stations. See the above flyer for more information, and be sure to join them at one of their upcoming informational sessions. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
