Secure funding for your research projects!
The Honors College is excited to support our students’ research endeavors by providing funding for students’ independent research projects. Students conducting research in any field are welcome to apply for the Honors College Research Fellowship. Students can utilize these funds to support research projects, research-related travel, or conference travel. Click the below button for general guidelines. Please note the timing of this has changed, and we will only have one application cycle per academic year. |
This one is on the house - Cater Talk with Brewmaster Drew KosticDrew Kostic was born in New York City and grew up in Wilton, CT. In 2008, he graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University with honors in psychology. After college, he spent a year teaching English and psychology in Warsaw, Poland on a Fulbright Scholarship before attending Duke University School of Law. After graduating in 2012, Drew practiced law for six years in Manhattan, where he also began to transition careers by attending Auburn’s Brewing Science and Operations graduate program. During this time, he was filmed for the documentary “Brewmaster,” which premiered at the South by Southwest film festival in 2018. Since graduating from Auburn, Drew has become a full-time brewer, working at many breweries on the east coast, including Lonerider in Raleigh, NC, and Oskar Blues in Brevard, NC. He is currently the general manager and head brewer at New Realm Brewing on Auburn’s campus and an affiliate faculty member for the Brewing Science and Operations graduate program. |

Become a Spring 2024 Peer Academic Coach
HONR 3007-007 – 3 credit hours
Academic coaches provide tutoring and mentoring to fellow Honors students in a variety of subject-specific courses. Students in the course are responsible for hosting weekly coaching sessions (3 hours per week) and should be prepared to help students in their given subjects by reviewing the course material, preparing additional study materials, and serving as a mentor for Honors students attending sessions.

FEWS Virtual Seminar Series: Why Summer Research & REUs Really Are For You!
2 part series: November 15 & November 29, 2023 at 1pm PT, 4pm ET
This two-part virtual seminar series is for any undergrad who is considering applying for summer research or REUs (research experience for undergrads). The seminar series is open to all undergrads with minority, BIPOC, women and non-binary students particularly encouraged to attend.
The first seminar on November 15 will focus on the benefits of summer research, the application process, and resources for finding programs.
The second seminar on November 29, will give students the opportunity to bring drafts of application materials developed after the first workshop for feedback.
