Maggie Nelson Wins Prestigious Churchill Scholarship to the UK!

Maggie has done it again! Maggie Nelson has won the Winston Churchill Scholarship, her fifth national prestigious scholarship award. No other undergraduate in the history of Auburn University has won as many prestigious scholarships as Maggie. A truly amazing accomplishment! Maggie will attend Churchill College at the University of Cambridge this fall, and work towards her MPhil in materials science and metallurgy. Read Maggie's story below.

Fellowship Information Session

Learn how to receive funding for your research projects, research-related travel, or conference travel through the Honors College Research Fellowship. We will have two information sessions available. Both are at 3:30 pm in Cater Hall with the first being held on Jan. 31 and the second on Feb. 1. Learn more by reading the article below or on our website.

The Honors Peer Mentorship Program is a lifeline for incoming Honors College freshmen to help ease the transition into the Honors College and university life by grouping new students with experienced upperclassmen. New students have a contact from the first day they arrive on campus to help them navigate this new step in their lives.

The deadline to apply is February 9, 2024.

The Alabama Academy of Science is hosting its 101st annual conference at Jacksonville State University

This is an excellent opportunity for Honors students to present their research and scholarship, hone their presentations skills for regional (SRHC) and national (NCHC) honors conferences, NCUR, and disciplinary professional conferences, as well as to meet other honors students from around the state.
