Join the Auburn University Honors College for a special Homecoming Weekend celebration as we welcome students, families, alumni and friends back to campus. Whether you're cheering on the Tigers, reconnecting with the Honors community or celebrating a milestone achievement, we invite you to be part of a memorable weekend.

This year's festivities include our Honors Homecoming Tailgate, where families can gather before kickoff for food, fellowship and Auburn spirit, as well as the Honors College Induction Ceremony, recognizing the newest members of our community as they begin their Honors journey.

Honors College Homecoming Tailgate FAQs

No, this event is not ticketed. We ask that when you arrive at the tailgate, that you check in so we may mark your attendance.   

Yes, and no! We will not serve any hot food. We will have Bruster’s Ice Cream and water available. Come and relax in our shade and enjoy a refreshing snack before heading to the game.   

The Honors College tailgate will take place three hours before kickoff in the Upper Quad behind Cater Hall.

Honors College Induction Ceremony FAQs

As a first-year Honors student you should have received an email to your auburn email address. This email asks you to complete a short form and submit your RSVP.   

The Honors College New Student Induction Ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 27th in Neville Arena.  

Doors will open at 1:15 p.m., and all students are expected to be seated by 1:45 p.m. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 p.m. and last approximately one hour.

We ask that all students and their guests enter through the main entrance of Neville arena. Students or guests with any mobility needs may enter through the scholarship entrance on the eastern side of the arena facing the parking lot.

There is no designated area for parking, but we recommend that you park in the Neville Arena parking lot or the Stadium Parking Deck.   

No, there is no designated area for participating students to check in . Students will need to enter through the student entrance that will lead them to the floor of the gym. Honors College student Ambassadors will be posted at the entrance to direct guests to their designated area.   

No, tickets are not required for this event. We do require participating students to complete the RSVP form and share how many guests will accompany them to the ceremony.

We ask that students please dress in business casual as this is a formal ceremony. 

Due to the time of day and duration of the ceremony, there will be no formal reception ceremony preceding or following the ceremony.   

Yes! There will be several photo backdrops that students and guests may use to commemorate this milestone. We encourage you to take lots of photos and remind you to tag us on social media @auburnhonors.
