In preparation for finals, students can drop by for tutoring from Peer Academic coaches and free pizza. It will be held Friday, December 3rd from 5-9pm in the Honors RBD Study room.

Honors Study & Travel: Deadline is December 10th

India, Germany, and New York’s deadline to register for study and travel is Dec.10th!

Honors Study and Travel: New Price for India!

Students will explore Indian religions, food, music, dress, and much more. Our travels will take us to the capital New Delhi, Amritsar the center of Sikh culture, the planned city of Chandigarh, and the hill station and resort town of Shimla. The finale will include the abandoned capital city of Fatehpur Sikri and Agra where we will see many interesting sites including a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, perhaps the most famous and beautiful building in the world. Dates: May 9-22, 2022

Honors Study and Travel: New York

The Honors College and the Auburn University Theatre Department are joining forces to give students a quintessential tour New York City. Attend four shows that might include: Hadestown, Mean Girls, and Moulin Rouge. Visit the incomparable MOMA as well as the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of a theatre and enjoy the iconic NYC sites, shopping, and street food.Dates: May 16-20, 2022

Honors Study and Travel: Germany

This trip will immerse you in German culture with a focus on studying Germany’s historic, political, and social environment. Students will visit the famed cities of Munich, Bamberg, and Nuremberg, and  experience the Bamberg Cathedral, the Nuremberg Castle, Rhine River Cruise, and Neuschwanstein Castle, to name a few.

Honors College Spring Break 2022 service trip to Pensacola, FL

The Honors College will take students to Pensacola, Florida on
Sunday, March 6th to Sunday, March 13th, to participate in the Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge. Students and staff will stay in a local church facility where service will take place Tuesday- Saturday until about 2:30 p.m. each day. 
To Reserve a Space in Program: Complete all information included below, and make plans to attend a 1-hour pre-trip orientation. Meeting time will be determined by student availability.

 Program Cost: $300/student – Due by March 4Space is limited.

Student Opportunities Across Campus

The Washington Leadership Program: Now Open

The Washington Leadership Program (WLP) is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications from high-potential South Asian American college students for the 2022 summer leadership program scheduled to take place from June 11, 2022 to August 5, 2022.WLP cultivates the South Asian American community’s next generation of leaders by placing them in congressional offices or federal agencies in Washington, D.C. for eight-week summer internships and a structured leadership-training curriculum. Though selection to WLP is highly competitive, all South Asian American students who are either US citizens or legal permanent residents are encouraged to apply, regardless of academic focus or professional goals. The backgrounds of past participants have ranged from pre-med to art and social work. Interns will receive a total stipend of $2,000 and will be required to complete 2-3 short writing assignments during the internship.
