Ice Cream in the Sky with the Honors College

Freshmen students check your email for an invitation from your Honors Advisor to an ice cream social this week the Eagle’s Nest. This is a great opportunity to get to know your Honors Advisor, meet other Honors students and enjoy the fantastic view.

Common Book Keynote

Common book author Bryan Stevenson will speak on August 30 in the AU Student Center Ballroom at 7 pm on his experiences as an attorney seeking justice for those whose voices have been historically silenced. 

Following the keynote speech, the evening will conclude with a book signing. The event is free and open to the community.

Honors Serves Social: September 2 | Eagle Hall Lobby | 5 pm

Honors Serves will be holding a welcome and meet and greet ice cream social in the lobby of the Eagle Residence hall on September 2 starting at 5 pm.  All Honors College students are invited to attend. For more information contact Payton Davis.

Honors Serves Meeting: September 6 | AUSC | 7 pm

Honors College Film Series Announced

The Honors College film series for the fall semester will focus on the theme of justice. These films are in support of the AU Common Book program and in partnership with the AU Libraries.

PrintThe first two films will be:

Friday, September 9: “Call Northside 777” (1947)

Wednesday, September 21: “12 Angry Men” (1957)

All films will be held at 3pm in the CMD Auditorium in RBD Library.
